Katana v2 by Chuckskull Katana v2 by Chuckskull
Katana, modelled in eovia hexagon, rendered in bryce.

Going to add more detail sometime in the future, but it's nearly 70,000 facets already, so I'm leaving it for now.

ooooh. very swish. you did a good job on it. looks like the original (the real one). dunno if you can get it any more glaemy and polished. would look a bit prettier that way.
well done

I'm trying to keep light off the blade because, there some horrible tessaltion in the polygons (it's lumpy... basically)

Cheers :) the handle based off, one I own, i'll be designing one from scratch sometime, I need to get the hang of 3ds first (i'm using a trial version of eovia hexagon at the mo, it's good but doesn't last much longer), going to be doing some playing over the weekend.

It's a bit oversized at the moment because that guard, will be going with the new handle which isn't done yet. Thansk for the comment.

Well, it's definately an improvement on the last one, but do you really think that guard suits the blade?

the guard is based of a 15th century one i found on the web, the handle and blade will be remodelled again yet and hopefully it'll look right on the fished piece
